What type of metals are you working with ?
We are working with two types of silver (Sterling and Pure), Gold and Silver and Gold (9k, 14k, 20k).
The Sterling Silver - the most popular silver around the world, it's 92.5% silver.
The Pure Silver - mostly for chunkier designs (usually men) and it's 99.9% silver.
Gold and Silver - a combination we custom order from the US, it's 85% sterling silver and 15% 18k gold.
We found that with some of our designs this combination is a great solution to the higher price of gold, the cost is reduced significantly when you choose this instead of all gold.
9k Rose Gold - sometimes called pink or red gold and is 37.5% gold
14k Yellow Gold - a common used gold around the world and is 58.3% gold
20k Yellow Gold - a softer gold, hand making pieces in 20k is different than in 14k or 9k. 20k is 83.3% gold -
What type of techniques do you use?
We create jewelry by hand, set stones, make masterpieces but mostly known for our engraving and carving. Most of our designs are engraved (free hand) with Hebrew texts. We also collect quotes and make up our own sayings, to be engraved on your piece and hopefully cherished for a long time.
-
Are designs mass produced?
No, every piece is made by hand.
Engraving
-
Choosing an engraving
We would recommend choosing an engraving only after you chose an item - so you can match the length of the phrase to the space available for engraving.
Our engraving book might be helpful - have a look here. You can favorite your choices and then when you click the engraving book link on the item's page, you will be able to access your favorite engravings. -
How many characters can fit on an item?
On most items it is mentioned how many characters can fit - you can find that information when checking top right corner of the engraving box.
However, on our popular items you can fit characters up to size:
Hammered Rings: Narrow rings (3-5 mm) fit up to 35 characters. Rings that are 7 mm or more can fit more or less 70 characters, and wide rings (9 mm) can fit up to 105-110 characters.
Pendants: Small bagels and hearts fit 40-55 characters. Medium bagels and hearts can fit up to 95-100 characters, and large bagels and hearts fit 125-140.
Bracelets: Open Yeshiva bracelets can fit up to 120-125 characters (in two rows).
Of course the fitting depends on the specific phrase you choose - you can always consult us.
Don't forget that the more characters you have, the smaller the letters will get. -
Can I pick an engraving that is not on your list?
We can engrave anything you like as long as it's in Hebrew. If you wish to select something that is not on the list, either type it in using Hebrew chars or write "see note" and later on specify the details in your notes to the item when you have in your shopping cart (separated comments for each item).
-
Do you engrave in English?
We don't. All engravings are done in Hebrew and any English will be translated.
-
What is the difference between engraving and carving?
Carving is different from engraving as we do not create the word or drawing the same way, material is extracted from around the area making the letters or drawing "stick out" creating a 3D look and feel. Since carving is more complicated and takes a much longer time than engraving, price is set accordingly.
-
My quote won't fit because of the letter limit, can I fit more words?
You can add words you can't fit into the engraving box to your comments (you can find the comments in your cart page after you have added the item to your cart), if possible we'll fit the full quote using a smaller font, otherwise, we will contact you for alternatives.
-
Do you engrave designs made by others?
No, we only engrave our designs.
Order process
-
What form of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards except American Express, both online or at the studio. New Israeli Shekels or USD.
-
Can I order over the phone/email?
Orders can only be placed online (using this website) or at the studio. We currently do not have the option of ordering over the phone or email. You can email us your specifications (engravings, measurements) and we'll create a SimpLink for you to make ordering online way easier.
-
I would like to add an item to my current order
Sure, no problem. As long as your order was not yet mailed, we can put it on hold until the new piece is ready. To place an order for an extra item, you can choose the Pick up option and avoid extra shipping charges.
-
I need to make a change in my studio order! How can I do that?
If you already made an order from the studio, please give your changes directly to the studio stuff. You can call us during business hours (5:30 am - 7:00 pm on weekdays, 5:00 am - 12:30 pm on Fridays). The studio's phone number is on the right corner of your receipt and on our Contact Us page on this site.
-
I'm having difficulties with the order process, can you place the oder for me?
We cannot, but we can do the best we can to assist, just Contact Us and ask for a "Walk Through Order", we will coordinate a call or a chat and our Team Hadaya representative will place the items in the cart for you, making sure measurements and engravings are correct, then walk you through the checkout process on your computer (you'll have to input the credit card details and the address yourself), then confirm the order was received by the system.
Sizes and measurements
-
Can I order a ring without knowing the size?
No. And we do not have any rings that can be adjustable (even though it may look like it, all spiral designs need to have an exact ring size). For all rings, accurate ring size is a must have.
-
Ring size
We would highly recommend not guessing a ring size. If you know the size already - take under consideration that if you are ordering a wide ring (9 mm) you might need a slightly bigger size.
If you don't know your size (or just want to be sure) we recommend going to a jewelry shop and measuring the finger you want the ring on. We use the American size system, but able to convert from any other system (using standard conversion sheet).
Since the rings are engraved, they can’t be resized to a smaller size, but can be stretched up to half a size. -
Bracelet size
Since most of our bracelets are open, size doesn't have to be perfect. It really depends if you like your bracelet loose or tight - there isn’t a perfect size for every wrist size (or age).
However, if you have an option to check the wrist size, it will give a better idea about what size to choose. Here's how to best take your measurements at home - Bracelet Measurements
Please take under consideration that the bracelet can’t be opened and closed, or bent, every time the bracelet is worn. The bracelets are not resizable.
The open bracelets are adjustable, up to a certain limit. It may be adjusted only once (changing the size over and over will break the bracelet - how to wear it right? click here)
If you're not sure about the size that fits you, or don't find the size you need, please contact usSpecial Sizes
If you don’t find a size that suits you, we will be happy to make you a bracelet that will fit you. You can contact us before making an order for further instructions or choose the closest size and mention the size you need in the comment section.
Print our Bracelet measurement page, to see how big the bracelet sizes are.
-
I got my ring but it's too small / big
Too big - we can try and make the ring a bit smaller, but that's only by a little bit and only at the studio. You can either send it with someone or mail it to us along with the details.
Too small - If a ring is too small it's better than too big (so that's already good news), depending on how small it is, you can get it fixed. If it's just a little small, any local jeweler can stretch it in a minute by a bit and still not damage the engravings. If it's way too small, you will have to mail it back to us and we will re-size it.
In both cases if the size difference is too much sometimes there is no other alternative but making a new ring.
-
Can I use your pieces on a keychain?
Yes you can! We recommend using our Keyring Upgrade
Shipping / Pick up
-
How long will it take to get my order?
Our jewelry is handmade, and we try to double check every order before it is send.
From the moment the payment and the order are confirmed, it takes 5-14 business days (time varies according to our workload) to manufacture and ship.
Regular shipping time takes 4-5 weeks - altogether about 6-7 weeks.
If you choose DHL Express international shipping, the shipping time will shorten to a week, and you will have your order after 8-14 business days from the time of completing your order.
Picking up after your order being processed, the item is made in the studio and ready for pickup - this usually takes 7-12 business days (time varies according to our workload).
We will let you know by email when you can come and pick it up -
How long will it take to order an item from the studio?
Over busy seasons (summer vacation, high holidays, winter break) getting your item could take 7-12 business days, on less busy times it takes 2-5 business days. We would highly recommend coming in the beginning of your trip to Jerusalem if you want to be able to pick up your order.
-
How can I track my order?
use - TrackMyHadaya.com - at all times. We also email you a notification once your order is mailed; you should have your tracking number and also a link for quick access to tracking.
-
Can I pick up from the studio?
Sure! If you are planning a visit to Jerusalem, or have someone picking up your order, please choose the “pick up” option when checking out. If you know the estimated date of the visit, please let us know in the comments box in the order form. Otherwise, the order will stay at the studio until picked up by anyone with your order number.
Picking up your item is possible as soon as you get am email from us. When coming to our studio, please mention the order number and the name of the person placing the order. Orders may not be picked up by engraving. -
Can someone else pick up my order for me?
Yes. As long as they have your full name and order number (for online orders) or the actual receipt from the studio (for studio orders).
-

Don't worry! You can pay for shipping on the website and have your item sent to you.

-
Can you deliver the order to my hotel?
For Hotels inside Jerusalem only, yes.
You will need to make sure the order is indeed ready before you are there, then call the day before with the room number. If you do not have a room number just note the team you will be calling with it as soon as possible, best before 8am the day delivery is to take place. Charge is the same as Israel Shipping, and you can always pay for shipping online - Add Shipping -
I would like to order something and have it dropped off with a GROUP ORDER I know of, is that possible?
Possibly. Just make sure to note the group details in your comments and choose the Pick Up option to avoid shipping charges. If we can not have it ready on time and dropped off with the rest of the group's orders, you'll have to either find another way to coordinate a pick up or add shipping charges and have it mailed to you.
Using our jewelry
-
Storage
Silver tends to tarnish, but you can slow the process by storing your HADAYA jewelry right:
- Don’t store it with any metal objects (such as coins, metal jewelry etc.) or in a metal container
- Try to avoid storing jewelry in humid places
- Store your item in a place that can absorb any excess humidity (the fabric pouch we provide can help with that)
- Try to avoid showering with the jewelry on
-
Cleaning
Although silver tends to tarnish, the good news is that it is really easy to clean.
Any silver shining product can clean our items. After treating the jewelry with the product, wipe the item with any cloth that will not leave fibers inside the engraving.
You can always come by the studio - we’ll be happy to polish your jewelry! -
Wearing our jewelry
To keep you item in good shape, please wear it carefully:
Chains: Playing with the pendant around the neck might snap the chain, stretch it or expand the holes (if there are) in it. If anything happens to the chain, you can bring it back to the studio. We will replace your broken chain for half price (given we get the old one).
Bracelets: Please do not adjust the bracelet more than once!
On first use, slightly bend the bracelet, close or open it to adjust it to the correct size. Once adjusted, use the flexibility of the material and the gap to put the bracelet on or take it off. Forcing the metal more than once will highly increase the chance for a bracelet to crack or break.
Customer satisfaction
-
I heard a crazy rumor about the first person coming to the studio. Is it true?
Yes! Our founding father, Baruch Hadaya, loves the custom of “Siftach” - the belief that the first customer of the day brings luck. To reward that luck, Mr Hadaya decided that the first person to place an order will get 50% discount on one item (silver items only, up to 600 NIS).
But there is a catch: the studio staff isn’t allowed tell you if you are the first customer! If you want to make sure you are the first, you have to come before we open (5:30 AM).
Since we launched our new site on Feb' 10th of 2017, we started the same tradition online as well, you can find more details on our #sunriseSale page. Good luck! -
My bracelet/chain broke - can I fix it?
Due to misuse, bracelets and chains might break (see how to wear them correctly here). With chains, simply order yourself a new one - purchase new chain. With bracelets (Yeshiva design only), we would be happy to help you through getting a new item - for a discounted price; you can return the old item by mail or to our studio. For more information please contact us.
-
I’m not happy with order, what should I do?
We try to make the jewelry exactly as ordered. However, it is handmade and humans make mistakes :)
If you are not happy with the item you got please contact us within 7 business days from the time of getting your order. Please include order number and date. We will try our best to understand what went wrong, and if the problem was on our end, we will be happy to make you a new item. -
I saw a design in the studio that I can’t find on the website. How can I order it?
We are in the process of adding most of the items presented at the studio to the website. However, some items are unique and sold only at the studio. If you wish to order such an item, please contact us with the information and we will get back to you with further information.
-
I got my order but the engraving is wrong
If we made a mistake with your order we will be more than happy to remake the piece, please email us the details (pictures of the item will be very helpful), mention your order number and whether it was placed online or at the studio. We will try and be as prompt as possible.
-
Do you have any stores outside Jerusalem?
Unfortunately, no. The only store is Hadaya Studio in the Old City of Jerusalem, where all our pieces are made.
-
How can I get notified about upcoming sales and specials?
We update our social networks (Facebook and Instagram) with information about new designs and upcoming sales, we also have a newsletter (goes out every 1-3 months) which you can register to here.
